Management Accountant – Plymouth – Permanent
💰 Salary: From £45,000 depending on experience
📍 Location: Plymouth – Office-based
🕒 Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Carrington Wood has been asked to support with the appointment of a motivated and commercially aware Management Accountant to join a dynamic, fast-paced organisation based in Plymouth.

This is a hands-on and varied role that would suit someone with a strong grasp of management accounting principles, confident communication skills, and a proactive mindset.

What You’ll Be Doing:
✔ Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
✔ Supporting key month-end processes (e.g. accruals, prepayments)
✔ Delivering financial insight and reports to both finance and non-finance teams
✔ Preparing quarterly VAT returns and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
✔ Assisting with audit prep and responding to financial queries
✔ Reconciliations – including bank, intercompany, and balance sheet
✔ Supporting with ad hoc projects, analysis, and planning work

What We’re Looking For:
💡 AAT qualified or higher (or QBE with strong experience)
💡 Solid experience in a similar management accounting role
💡 Confident communicator with a commercial mindset
💡 Organised, proactive, and happy working in a fast-paced team
💡 Strong IT skills, including Excel and accounting systems
