Group Accountant – Redruth – Hybrid
💰 Pay: Circa £50,000 per annum

Carrington Wood is delighted to be supporting a respected organisation in Redruth with the appointment of a Group Accountant. This is a broad and hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of core financial processes, while supporting the Head of Finance in driving efficiency and delivering long-term organisational goals.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔ Producing accurate monthly management accounts for the Group
✔ Preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC
✔ Managing month-end and year-end close processes
✔ Overseeing the sales ledger and key reconciliations
✔ Leading on budgeting and forecasting cycles across the Group
✔ Preparing draft statutory accounts and supporting the annual audit
✔ Developing and implementing financial policies to improve efficiency
✔ Supporting the development of a data-driven finance team
✔ Assisting the Head of Finance and wider team on ad-hoc queries and projects

What We’re Looking For:

💡 Qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPFA, ICA) – AAT Level 4 will be considered with relevant experience
💡 Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and regulations
💡 Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel
💡 Analytical, detail-orientated, and solutions-focused
💡 Skilled communicator who can work with a wide range of stakeholders
💡 Leadership experience with the ability to inspire a team
