Applicant Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions confirm how we will provide our recruitment services to you.

You acknowledge that you have informed Carrington Wood that you wish them to carry out work seeking services on your behalf.

Carrington Wood will provide you with temporary recruitment services acting as an employment business and permanent recruitment services acting as an employment agency as defined under the Employment Agencies Acy 1973.

When acting as an Employment Business seeking temporary employment on your behalf, the Temporary Work Terms below will apply.

In order to provide recruitment services to you Carrington Wood will have to process your personal data. In doing so we will comply at all times with data protection laws and in accordance with our Privacy Policy below.

Temporary Work Terms

Type of Work:

Carrington Wood operates within the general business sector and will provide work within that industry including but not limited to:

-           Finance & Accounting

-           HR

-           Administration & Customer Service

-           Business Development

 

Once an assignment has been agreed with you, the specific type of work will be communicated to you in the Key Information Document  - KID.

 

Type of Employment:

You will be employed under a contract of service with our Payroll and Employment partner, Quickstep Contractor Solutions Limited. You will be provided with an employment contract by QCS Limited before starting your assignment. 

 

Payment:

Carrington Wood will pay Quickstep and Quickstep will pay you, whether or not Carrington Wood receives payment from the hirer. Payment will be made weekly in arrears in respect of work carried out and evidenced by a timesheet authorised by the hirer and at the rate contained in the KID and in all cases in excess of the applicable NLW rates which vary from time to time. Timesheets approved before 12 noon on Wednesday are paid before 6pm on Fridays.

 

Holidays and Absences:

Subject to any statutory entitlement under the relevant legislation, Sickness absence and any other statutory entitlement, the Agency Worker is not entitled to receive payment from Carrington Wood or the Hirer for time not spent on Assignment, whether in respect of holidays, illness or absence for any other reason unless otherwise agreed.

 

Your entitlement to payment for annual leave accrues in proportion to the amount of time worked by you on Assignment during the pay period at the rate of 12.07% as detailed in your KID. The proportionate holiday pay will be retained by Quickstep and paid to you at times you take annual leave unless otherwise requested by you (you may request this pay to be paid to you as it is accrued alongside your normal rate).

 

Notice of Termination:

The hirer may terminate the assignment with immediate effect and no notice payment will be provided by Carrington Wood to you. You may also terminate your assignment with immediate effect.

Please note this will not terminate our agreement to provide you with work seeking services.
